Merry Christmas!
I love these things about this time of year…
-explaining the awesome simplicity of the manger scene to my boys
-snuggling on the couch with the family
-Bing Crosby crooning carols
-receiving Christmas cards (ours will be New Year’s cards )
-reading to the boys the same version of “The Night before Christmas” that my dad used to read to me
-any Celestial Seasonings Christmas-flavored tea (took a fun tour there today)
-packages from family on the doorstep
-Bubba singing “Happy Birthday, Jesus” to himself
-scarves and mittens
-letting the kiddos help light and then blow out the Advent candles over and over and…
-wrapping presents and feeling blessed
-a long phone call with a favorite sister
-planning feasts for great friends
-searching far and wide for the perfect gift for Haus. I like spoiling that man.
-”White Christmas”… still one of my favorite movies any time of year
-Pumpkin Cheesecake candles
-preparing Christmas cookie plates for neighbors
-the anticipation for the celebration
